答：Admissions officers want students that show they are outgoing, caring, and have leadership potential. Students should emphasize the extracurricular activities where they took on a leadership role and show that they care about the world around them. They should also talk about their ideas, how will they contribute to classroom discussion and the campus community in general?

For example, students who study Business will learn entrepreneurial skills that could possibly help them start their own company.

答：From my experience, Chinese employers often look at the prestige of the school the applicant graduated from. American employers think similarly to admissions officers when it comes to choosing graduates. They are looking at an applicant’s personality and what they can potentially contribute to their organization. This is why it is so important for Chinese students to develop their communication skills in college, as they will be utilized when interviewing for jobs and then on the job itself.US employers want people who are outgoing, innovative, and easy to collaborate with.

问： Chinese students hope to bring some impact to American in the study process, in your life experience, have any local people asked you questions about Chinese culture? 答：At Tufts, the Chinese Students Association would often host cultural events for occasions such as Chinese New Year and the Mid-Autumn Festival. With America being such a melting pot of cultures, students can further enrich Chinese culture in America by bringing their own life experiences to American colleges. Many Americans are not familiar with Chinese culture, and Chinese students have ample opportunities to introduce them to it. This is a positive influence that cannot be understated. Chinese students are not only able to experience new lifestyles and cultures in America, but can do the same for their peers. From my experience, Americans are very welcoming and curious about Chinese society and customs. This cultural exchange will allow Chinese students to make friends and ease their social transition.
